The 2026 recruitment is being conducted under CRP CSA-XVI. IBPS CSA-XVI Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational qualification: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
  • Result date: The candidate must possess valid proof of graduation and fulfil the qualification requirement by the closing date specified in the notification.
  • Nationality: Candidates must satisfy the nationality or citizenship conditions stated in the official notification.
  • State/UT choice: Candidates should apply for only one State or Union Territory.
  • Percentage: Graduation percentage should be entered according to the university’s official conversion rules where CGPA or OGPA is awarded.
  • Credit history: A healthy credit history may be required at the time of joining according to the allotted bank’s policy. This is not a pre-condition for submitting the application.

Local Language and Computer Knowledge

Local-Language Proficiency

Candidates should be able to read, write, speak and understand the specified local language of the State or Union Territory for which they apply. A Local Language Proficiency Test may be conducted when required.

Language-Test Exemption

Candidates who studied the specified local language in Class 10 or Class 12 and can produce valid proof may be exempted according to the participating bank’s rules.

Computer Literacy

Operating and working knowledge of computer systems is mandatory. Candidates should possess an appropriate certificate, diploma or degree, or should have studied computer or information technology as a subject.

Exam Medium

English Language is conducted in English. Other tests are generally available in English, Hindi and applicable regional languages as notified for the selected State/UT.

IBPS CSA Selection Process

1. Preliminary Examination

The first-stage online examination is qualifying in nature and is used to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination.

2. Main Examination

The Main Examination carries 200 marks. Main-exam performance is used for final merit and provisional allotment, subject to official cut-offs and eligibility.

3. Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates must produce original educational, identity, category, age, language and other applicable certificates.

4. Local Language & Joining Formalities

Candidates must satisfy the local-language and joining requirements of the allotted participating bank. There is no interview for the CSA post.
